I always love to stay at the Litchfield Inn. They have added a swimming pool out back which is absolutely fantastic, with a lovely pool house with a terrific shower. Breakfast is always terrific, and the rooms are always comfortable.
The Litchfield Inn is in a good location close to sites, shopping and restaurants. The inn is a bit tired. Our room was fresh and spacious. A Breakfast Buffet is provided in a plain space with food items as you could find at any low cost chain hotel.
We booked after seeing the Litchfield Inn compared with The Abner and Mayflower Inn, but that comparison simply doesn’t hold up.
The manager escalated a minor check-in issue into an argument in front of my wife and baby, and we never really felt comfortable or settled during our stay.
At this price point, the service and overall experience fell far short. There are much better options in the area. This felt closer to a roadside hotel dressed up than an upscale luxury inn.
This is one of the most wonderful inns I have ever stayed in. I have been here twice and whenever I am in the vicinity I always choose to stay here. Absolutely stunning property with wonderful amenities and the most friendly staff! Don't miss the gem of a property!
From the first time stepping on the property we felt welcome. The staff was accommodating and invited us to enjoy the amenities while we waited for our room (we were early for check in). We took advantage and walked the property before heading off to explore the area. When we returned, we checked into our dog friendly room (after grabbing a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie). The room was clean and comfortable and our dog enjoyed it as well. The next morning we took advantage of the fitness center and pool and enjoyed a hot breakfast on property (made to order omelets were a hit). Overall I cannot say enough good things about the staff, accommodations and amenities. Highly recommend.
Lovely lobby with comfy sofas and chairs and fireplace, games to play, newspapers to read, delicious coffee and breakfast, friendly and efficient staff, spacious room with comfy bed, spotlessly clean.
Ok beautiful hotel but somewhat strange. You are not close to town yet there is no bar area or restaurant in the whole place? Exceptional decorated lobby and many areas to get together but without food/bar just not used by anyone in when we were there. You felt like you were in a quiet spa not a hotel. They do serve an excellent breakfast though.
We stayed one night because we were attending a graduation nearby. We had two rooms and were able to bring our dogs with us. The property was clean, the grounds were large and beautiful, the rooms were large and clean, and the breakfast options were great. We had made to order omelettes! The outdoor space was not being used for any events so we were able to play fetch with our dogs, which was great! We are planning to go back for a long weekend, just to relax and enjoy!
