We had a lovely 2 night stay lovely clean room with everything we needed. Andrew and Abigail are brilliant hosts nothing is too much they go above and beyond especially as I am Gluten free had two delicious GF breakfasts and my husband had the full cumberland breakfasts and one of Abigails lovely home baked muffins. We will definitely be returning next year.

Fantastic

Everything was perfect during our stay. Beautiful room, excellent breakfast. We felt very well looked after. The location is great too, very easy to get around the Lakes from there without a car.

One of the best guest houses we’ve ever stayed in.

We had an amazing stay at Ivythwaite Lodge, it was immaculately clean, service was spot on as was breakfast. There was also some lovely little touches with home made cake on arrival and home made muffins to take away with you after breakfast. It was also very reasonably priced compared to other similar establishments close by. We would certainly stay here again if we visit the lakes in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The room was very nice and the bathroom was nicely appointed and modern. Breakfast was wonderful!! Lots of extras in the room including homemade pieces of cake upon arrival. Andrew had lots of suggestions for a day out which was so helpful. If we have the opportunity to return, we would definitely stay here again.

The place to stay in Windermere

Fantastic couple of days at this B&B ,Can't fault any element of our stay,room was spotless and quiet, breakfast was gorgeous with huge menu . Located with minutes walk from Bowness and Windermere centre. Andrew and Abigail were lovely engaging hosts. Can't wait to return soon. Ivythwaite Lodge is a beautiful house with many original features. It was a bonus to have a fridge in the room. We appreciated the warmth of the property and also the excellent service provided by Andrew and Abigail. The breakfasts were delicious and cooked options could be ordered the night before by text. Most of the food was locally sourced and Abigail’s home baking was great. The property was in a quiet location but easily accessible to Windermere and Bowness. The comfortable bed ( ours was a 4 poster) made for an excellent night’s sleep. If going to the area in the future we would certainly book again.

Weekend Break

Ivythwaite Lodge is a lovely guest house and spotlessly clean. Room was tastefully decorated and comfy bed. The breakfast was excellent with good varied choice. Ideally situated between Windermere and Bowness. Nice friendly hosts as well. Thank you Abigail and Andrew

Amazing stay

Abigail was absolutely fantastic, she went above and beyond for us, homemade cakes left in our room on arrival such a cute touch! breakfast was fantastic, we even had breakfast delivered to our room on the second morning, abigail made her own bread / buns that tasted amazing. The hotel was spotless, location was great, we asked for early check in, this was no problem atall and our room was ready when we arrived at 1pm, we have already recommended to friends, thank you for a lovely stay

Had a lovely stay at the Ivythwaite hotel for 2 nights. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and provided a great breakfast with plenty of choice. Like a lot of places in the lake district it isn’t a modern look hotel but personally that’s not a bad thing and definitely wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Amazing stay! Couldn’t fault it!

A lovely room with gorgeous spa bath! A perfect distance from both the lake (about 20mins walk) and a cluster of quality restaurants (about 9mins walk). Would definitely stay here again and will be recommending to all our friends! The owners were super friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious too!

Charming Inn in the Lake District
