It was a bonus to have a fridge in the room. We appreciated the warmth of the property and also the excellent service provided by Andrew and Abigail. The breakfasts were delicious and cooked options could be ordered the night before by text. Most of the food was locally sourced and Abigail’s home baking was great. The property was in a quiet location but easily accessible to Windermere and Bowness. The comfortable bed ( ours was a 4 poster) made for an excellent night’s sleep. Located with minutes walk from Bowness and Windermere centre. Andrew and Abigail were lovely engaging hosts. Can't wait to return soon. We had an amazing stay at Ivythwaite Lodge, it was immaculately clean, service was spot on as was breakfast. There was also some lovely little touches with home made cake on arrival and home made muffins to take away with you after breakfast. It was also very reasonably priced compared to other similar establishments close by. Beautiful room, excellent breakfast. We felt very well looked after. Room was tastefully decorated and comfy bed. The breakfast was excellent with good varied choice. Ideally situated between Windermere and Bowness. Nice friendly hosts as well. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and provided a great breakfast with plenty of choice. A lovely room with gorgeous spa bath! A perfect distance from both the lake (about 20mins walk) and a cluster of quality restaurants (about 9mins walk). Would definitely stay here again and will be recommending to all our friends!
