"I would never go there again owner was staying vin room behind my room thin walls and ironing board was leaning against our wall and it got knocked by movement on the access door adjoining room 2 as we were placed in room 1 . "The layout and furnishings are basic and definitely not worth $229/night. The hot water ran out after 5 minutes, so that was pooh. Of the dozens of BNB stays, this was the only one that we felt ripped off by and think a $100 should be refunded. 😠"

"We had a fabulous stay at Rooksedge, our room "the Mitch" was beautiful and had everything we needed including our favourite amenity which was the fireplace. It was impossible to not feel relaxed and at peace. Great escape from the city and also close enough to town to grab any bits and pieces if needed. We also loved that we could take our beautiful doggo with us that enjoyed everything just as much as we did."

"My husband and I had a great time at The Shack. Alison was prompt and communicative in the lead up to the stay and we found the property exactly as advertised. We really appreciated the breakfast and snack options, and also our interactions with the resident golden retriever, Daisy! (Who was also very obedient and could be contained if that was an issue for others!) We loved the coziness of the fireplace and will certainly try to come back in warmer months when we can make use of the outside...
