"A very old historic hotel in Wellsboro. It is historic, so be prepared for historic accommodations. It wasn’t bad, but not so sure I would choose to stay there again. Although options in Wellsboro are very limited, so it depends if anything else is available or not"

"We enjoyed our stay. It was our anniversary trip. We stayed in the romantic getaway. I didn't receive the check in instructions, so I messaged the owner and got an immediate response. He was very helpful and was there upon arrival. He mentioned about a kitchen in our room but there wasnt. It was very quiet, you could hear everything. I dont think i would recommend for a younger crowd. As far as it being the "romantic getaway", there was no way we could get really intimate. The closed in porch wouldve been great for cuddling on the couch and watch the sunset, but the legs were put on backwards on the couch, and wouldnt have held us. We notified the owner so he was aware and said he would be there in 45 minutes to check it out and offered us a chair in the meantime from the common area. We looked foward to him looking into it but that time never came. So we couldnt enjoy that part like we wanted. We loved the bed and pillows and sheets so much, we ordered the same pillows and bedsheets. We made a snack in the oven but there were no hot pads. But everything was great. The rooms were clean and the view was great with an excavator outside the windows. Saw a few deer. There was a slight odor upon walking in. Almost like it used to be a nursing home and a strong mildew smell in the downstairs. I don't want to sound negative. Just trying to leave an honest review. Like I said, it was clean, great location, very quiet"

"Had a great stay, Stephanie was very nice and was a phone call away if we needed anything, which we didn’t . Place was very clean and comfortable and really liked the new deck and porch area and scenic viewsWill definitely return"

"Attended a wedding reception nearby so stayed one night. Very clean, new and quiet suite with kitchenette. Comfortable bed, large bathroom, and couch area met all our needs. Would recommend and stay again ourselves."

"Awesome property! Great location, everything was in walking distance to downtown Wellsboro. Loved relaxing on the front porch in the evenings watching the activity on "The Green". Kristen was an excellent host. I would highly recommend Fountain View."

"The home was clean, amply supplied and the perfect setting for our golf trip. The property and surrounding views are stunning. We enjoyed sipping wine in the hot tub while looking up at the Milky Way and an endless blanket of stars. Tyoga golf course was both challenging and rewarding, with incredible views from the first tee and on. We had a great time in Wellsboro. We drank adult beverages with the locals at Mama's Mug and the Penn Wells Hotel. We had a delicious dinner at Beck's Bistro (a recommendation from friends) and were fortunate to be seated just in time to join (and win!) trivia. We need to stay longer next time. Thanks for having us."
