Visit the Qujiang New District to explore a hub of culture and leisure filled with luxury hotels and a range of dining options. During the 1990s, high-end shopping malls and entertainment venues sprang up here to attract more visitors. Split your time between traditional temple buildings and modern galleries and gardens for a varied visit.

Gaze up at the multiple tiers of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, which was initially built during the Tang dynasty in the 7th century. Enter the structure, which is 212 feet (65 meters) tall, and climb up the spiraling staircase to reach the top where you can enjoy stunning views of the city.

The pagoda is part of the majestic Da Ci’en Temple complex. Explore further to marvel at the statues in the Mahavira Hall and Xuanzang Sanzang Hall. On the spacious plaza at the core of this temple complex stands the Bronze Statue of Master Xuanzang.

Head south, stopping at surrounding attractions such as the Xi’an Concert Hall and a children’s amusement park. Admire the intriguing sculptures and traditional works on display in the Xi’an Qujiang Musuem of Fine Arts. Check out the Chinese calligraphy, photography and contemporary art in the Xi’an Art Museum.

Reach the Xi’an Botanical Garden and study the aquatic plants of the wetland section. The Silk Road Garden exhibits vegetation from the famous trade route. Kids can learn about the human senses in the Children’s Garden. Visit stunning Tang Paradise, a cultural park split into various themed sections lined with incense sticks and traditional lanterns.

Find the Qujiang New District in the southeastern corner of central Xi’an, in the Shaanxi province of China. Travel by bus from the city center to one of the many stops surrounding Tang Paradise. While in this part of the city, plan to visit some of the neighboring zones, including the Muslim Quarter, the Daming Palace National Heritage Park and Xincheng.

Deluxe hotels, international restaurants and scenic parks make the Qujiang New District a popular destination.
