Xiangxi Vacation Packages
See why Hunan is so frequented by travelers from all over the world, by renting a vehicle and setting off to explore the numerous natural and cultural attractions in the vicinity of Xiangxi. Zhuzhou, 30 miles (48 kilometers) to the north, and Xiangtan, 30 miles (48 kilometers) to the north of Xiangxi are worth a visit too.
About 8 miles (13 kilometers) to the west of Xiangxi is Changsha, an important regional center where you'll find Hongxing International Convention Center, Helong Stadium and Martyrs' Park. Hunan Provincial Museum, South Central University and Hunan Forest Botanical Garden are also good spots for investigating while you are here.
A key to unlocking the culture is talking the language, so while in China it's a good idea to memorize some practical Mandarin phrases and expressions. "Nǐ yào bú yào gēn wǒ tiàowǔ" is a good one to try. In English, it means "Would you like todance with me?" "Zhèiwèi xiānsheng huì qīngdān" translates to "This gentleman/lady will pay for everything"
When it's time to leave this special part of the world, bid a fond Zàijiàn (farewell) to the people you've enjoyed getting to know and the places you've seen.
