If you are travelling to Yufuin, Hotel MODA is a must stay. This hotel is immaculate, with attentive staff. I definitely recommend adding the dinner at the hotel to your stay, it was one of the best meals that we had in Japan and the outdoor private Onsen was amazing!

Hotel staffs very nice and helpful. Dinner and breakfast is yummy and delicious! We can chill all day in the hotel and room. Really enjoyed the time here!

First of all. Staffs are fluent in English. Good breakfast and dinner. Room are spacious and with onsen and balcony. Onsen is great and good temperature. Site are great overall.

What Hotel Moda lacks in aesthetic charm found in traditional Japanese ryokan, it more than makes up for in modern amenities, comfort, and level of service. The private onsen is clean and spacious and my wife and I really liked their curation of toiletries and accessories - I was particularly taken by the pajamas the hotel prepared. The staff was incredibly considerate and even generously provided free transportation to/from the town center (a cab from Yufuin station would otherwise cost about ¥1,000). I would definitely stay at Hotel Moda again!
