"This is really something to be experienced. It is new (2023) and massive - hundreds and hundreds of guests. It is a spa, first and foremost. The rooms are huge, quiet, and elegant; the numerous staff are efficient and multi-lingual. Hot springs in the building, hundreds of guests strolling about in hotel yukata, views of the peaks and ocean. The optional meals are definitely recommended - the food is fantastic and also it is a long hike to get down the mountain. Partner likened it to a luxury...

"We absolutely loved our stay here. The best part other than our awesome view was the shower! I loved the water pressure. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. It was a 12 minute walk from Oita Station, and there was a Lawson around the corner. We also got free breakfast at the hotel and it was delicious. The room was spacious but the balcony was the star of the room. Would definitely stay here again."

"My friend and I had a wonderful time at the Seikouen. They picked us up from JR Kurume station, and their hospitality was amazing. They welcome us at the entrance and every time they see us. Single storey Japanese style cottages or rooms (new wing) surrounded by Japanese gardens and features. 4-5 private in door and outdoor onsens to choose from. Delicious breakfast and for those with 1/2 board, the set dinner was very good with free flow of sake, coffee/tea and orange juice.
