Comfortable, charming and super friendly!

This is a comfortable, charming, family-run property. The hosts care deeply about your comfort and happiness. The fried chicken in their restaurant is some of the best I’ve ever had. The portions are incredible. Don’t miss the blue corn pancakes for breakfast!

We enjoyed 2 nights in the hotel and absolutely liked the design of our room. Unfortunately the beds were not very comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful! We loved the concept that all the guest sit at the same table. We also had dinner in the restaurant and it was perfect. The staff (hotel/restaurant/shop) was very friendly and helpful.

A rustic place full of local art and furnishings. Comfortable and quiet. Spent much of our time in common living room and met wonderful people. Feels like you are staying at a friend’s home! Breakfast was fantastic! If you are looking for luxury and privacy, this may not be for you. But if you want to experience New Mexico: This is IT!

Absolutely charming inn. Friendly staff l, friendly cats, and a great breakfast. My only advice: if you’re tall, don’t stay in room 5. The ceiling is a little low :D I would definitely stay here again.

The Inn at Halona is more like a bed and breakfast. It’s part of their trading post. You check in at their store counter and pick out what you want to eat the next morning. (I’ll get back to that in a second.) We got a room in a house with shared full kitchen and living room where we could make ourselves tea or cook ourselves a meal. They also had a nice courtyard with a couple of friendly cats. A very comfortable and convenient stay. So back to breakfast! I had ordered a breakfast burrito with red chili and the kids had pancakes and eggs, and we also got a side of blue corn pancakes. Let me tell you, it was the best red chili I had on our trip and the rest of the breakfast was amazing too! Definitely staying here the next time we come through this area.

This property is in the heart of the pueblo and is a bed and breakfast based in an old pueblo style home. It is very charming and peaceful with a lovely patio to hang out in the evening, or even the front porch of the house! Given that it is a house, there is a full-size communal kitchen, dining areas and living room. Our room was in the basement with a king size bed and a sitting area that was delightful. However, this basement room had low ceilings and my 6'4" partner had to duck, but the bathroom has a full ceiling. If you are under 6' you will have no problems. The breakfast included was the best I have ever had with an abundance of nutritious delicious food that I was unable to finish! Overall, the Inn at Halona was one of the most delightful, peaceful places I have stayed, and I highly recommend it.

The Inn at Halona was one of the nicest B & B's that my husband and I have ever stayed at. It was unique, clean, beautifully decorated with Zuni art, and so homey! We ate at the Plaza next door for dinner, and the fried chicken there has ruined me for life, as this place is a 10 hour drive from my house. If I want the BEST fried chicken I've ever had, I have to drive 10 hours. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly, and our room was stocked with soft, colorful, NUMEROUS towels! It sounds like such a small thing, but I've stayed in many places where there is one towel per person, and it can be very difficult. Here, there were at least three each of facecloths, hand towels, and bath towels in a very pretty shade of rose that were so soft. I chose the blue corn pancakes for breakfast, they served me two of them,as big as the 12" diameter plate. Plenty to eat and SO good! Roger Thomas came by and spoke with everyone at breakfast. We had come in a little later than some other people, so he stayed and talked to us while we ate. He was funny, smart and a wonderful representative of the Zuni people. My husband and I felt accepted and cared for, and we wished that we could have spent more time among these gracious, welcoming people.

The Inn at Halona is a gem. Quiet, cool, comfortable and charming with modern conveniences as well (AC, wifi, breakfast and good coffee). Walking into the Inn from a hot dusty day was one of the best arrival experiences I have enjoyed in many years of travel.
