"We stayed here with our adult daughter and her fiance, and then several family members came on Sunday to enjoy the lakeshore and our rented pontoon. We were able to check in a couple hours early on Friday which was awesome because we missed some traffic and caught a perfect afternoon. A great time was had by all and we really loved using the patio table fire pit. The cabin is spacious and has FOUR bedrooms which each have a window looking at the lake and their own television. I would like to come back with enough people to stay in all the bedrooms! The shoreline is unmatched, crystal clear and sand bottom. We were here in early August, so it's obviously a lake with high clarity. Amazing stay - hope to do it again!"

"Although the property is updated, it retains the characteristics of a farmhouse. The kitchen was updated, but still had, what look like, original built-ins. The bathrooms were updated, but the bedrooms looked original with hardwood floors, solid wood doors, and antique hardware. The lake was good and almost empty on Thursday and Friday. It got busier on Saturday (about 10 boats), but still didn't feel busy. We didn't get a chance to try out the sauna.The owner was responsive, check-in and access were easy. Overall we had a great time at the property."

"We stayed for a long weekend and we’re excited to see that it was so secluded and and had the up north cabin vibe. Everything was clean and had all the amenities we needed and more. The questions we asked the host were answered in a timely manor. The screened in porch got used the most and was nice getaway from the bugs. Nothing we didn’t like about it. "

"Small quaint cabin if you're looking for a quiet weekend in the woods. No cell service so if you want to be where no one can reach ya this is the place. We played cards and games all weekend. Couldnt get the DVD player to work but other than that enjoyable quiet weekend. "

"We spent 2 relaxed weeks with 2-4 adult family members. Picture postcard location, highest lot on beautiful Island Lake. Little sound from boaters, but some I-35 noise (nearby lakes the same). Friendly but well-separated neighbors on one side, undeveloped forest on the other. Access is by a paved but lightly trafficked road. A dock, clear water and sandy beach reward those who brave the 45 sturdy stairs. You can rest on spacious platforms or pick up a life jacket in the shed. The large yard is perfect for kids. Toys include: paddle boards, water mat, pedal boat, ping-pong table, foosball table...even a baseball and gloves. Loons sang every night. Also seen: ducks, eagle and hawk. A good queen bed is found in each of the 2 bedrooms. An enclosed breezeway to the game room holds bunkbeds and a pullout mattress. A folding couch in living room is the best spot on rare hot nights. The home can sleep 9, but scheduling the single bathroom could be delicate. Good washer, dryer, dishwasher, fridge, gas range and oven, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. No garbage disposal. Rudimentary cookware: chefs will want to bring their own cookware. Large internet TV with OTA antenna—yay! Smaller TV in game room. Water is softened for bathing, but non-Minnesotans will want to bring their own, iron-free drinking water. Good air flow, screens on most windows, quality ceiling fans in all rooms. The breezeway can be occupied “flat”; other rooms require a few stairs."

"This place was beautiful! We will definitely be back!! We stayed in the octagon and had an amazing time. The owners were great to work with. We ran into bad weather on our way up there and communicated that to them and they arranged a way for us to get the key. Will be back!! Def for a longer stay!"

"Home was ok. Disappointed in how unkept the yard was to start with. The oven did not work and took a while for the owner to get back to me and no one came to fix it. One of the two skylights in the upstairs bedroom leaked when it rained. Noisy bed on main floor. Children had fun in the back porch playroom although very musty smelling until we aired out. "

"We had an incredible stay at this beautiful lake house for my son’s 10th birthday celebration. The property is perfect for families! The converted garage served as a fun rec room with lots of games, keeping the kids entertained for hours. The floors are also heated! Upstairs, there was a spacious living area with plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably. The main house was equally impressive, with cozy bedrooms and a welcoming atmosphere. The best part, though, was the breathtaking view of the lake—absolutely gorgeous! The owners were so friendly and quick to help with any questions we had, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. We had such a fantastic time and will definitely be back! Highly recommend this place for a memorable family getaway."

"You need to like animals. Surrounded by horses chickens turkeys and ladybugs. Was no hot tub even though was in listing. The trails were nice a little rustic but enjoyable. Friendly people and clean place. But not exactly what I expected from pictures on listing. Much smaller and surrounded by other cabins. "
