They went above and beyond to help us with our luggage, ride arrangements, food deliveries, etc. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety of food options, and afternoon tea was available every day with snacks and refreshments. A free laundry service was also provided. The rooms are beautiful, offering a traditional Beijing HuTong experience with modernized decor. This hotel is also located steps away from a vibrant shopping centre, offering great opportunities to shop for snacks and souvenirs! We would absolutely stay here again"

"Highly recommend this hotel! They allow early check-in if rooms are available—I arrived at 10 AM and was able to check in, even though the official check-in time is 2 PM. They accept takeout and package deliveries, which is super convenient. I ordered over 10 packages during my stay. If you’re not in the room, the front desk will hold them for you 24/7—you can even pick them up at midnight. They’ll also deliver packages directly to your room without asking for tips. The hotel has a large parking lot, and the fee is very affordable. Free fruit, snacks, and attentive service make the stay even better. The hotel is a bit dated, but everything else exceeded my expectations!"

"We had a wonderful stay at the Jingshan Garden Hotel. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. They assisted us in securing reservations for the National Art Museum, which is nearly impossible if you don't have a Chinese phone number or speak Mandarin. The property has the authentic feel of an old Beijing courtyard house, and staying here turned out to be a much more enjoyable and memorable experience than staying in one of the large international chain hotels that we were originally considering. The area around the hotel is charming, since it located in the middle of ancient hutong alleyways. It is just around the corner from the beautiful Jingshan Garden, which has splendid views over the Forbidden City. Our room was lovely, with a spacious and well-equipped bathroom. The beds here were far more comfortable than any others we had on the rest of our trip throughout China. The air conditioner worked well -- much appreciated in the sweltering temperatures of Beijing in June! I also appreciated the nice tea set in our room. The only drawbacks to this hotel are that it is hard for taxi drivers to find and it is at least a 25-minute walk to most restaurants outside of the hotel. We had printed directions in Chinese, but our taxi driver from the airport still had difficulty locating the hotel. There is a restaurant in the hotel and it is beautifully decorated and has a nice view, but it is rather expensive for local standards and it barely offers any options for vegetarians. "

"Great location. Hotel is in a old fashion Hutong in the heart of Beijing where you see locals' life but also close to major tourism spots. It was super fun to walk or ride a bike through these Hutongs. Staffs are very friendly and try their best to make guest feel at home. Tasty breakfast with a lot of choices. Will definitely go back next time I visit Beijing!"

"The place was really special, located in the Hutongs near all the cool food streets, Bei Hai park and other great spots. The room was a little small for us with no place for the luggage, but overall it was a great and authentic experience. "

"First time exploring Beijing and I loved it. I also loved this hotel. The rooms are fresh and clean. The area is quiet at night. If you explore the alleyways in close proximity to the hotel you will find an array of wonderful shop and local restaurants. It is a good 45-60 minute walk to the forbidden city and other sights which suited me. I love to walk and soak up the sights, sounds and smells of the city and it fully delivered beyond my expectations. Equally if you don’t want to walk there is a subway station opposite the hotel. The staff were excellent. I arrived in a panic as my phone was about to die and in china that spells disaster as all bookings and payments are made through my phone. I had brought the wrong adapter. The young receptionist found one on her phone and had a courier drive across the city with it in less than one hour for only 50 yuan. I would challenge anyone to find a better hotel within this price range. I hope to stay again soon."
