“We had a nice stay. It’s about 2 blocks to the beach. There is no lift and it’s 3 stories high! Rooms aren’t too big. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was great!! Paul is a great cook! We did have a problem locating the place. We also got there late and Paul wasn’t too happy, but the next morning he was ok. Pictures on the web are accurate. Great place for young and young at heart couples to stay ”

“A really good hotel that had great facilities. Two restaurants with excellent choices. Two indoor pools - one just for hotel guests (the other for guests in the lodges). Several comfy rooms for chilling. Lovely grounds for walks and close enough to walk to Brodick. Everywhere is decorated to a very high standard. The staff are a mix of local and world wide - all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The whole hotel is dog friendly. Highly recommend ”

“Lovely stay in The Piersland. Bed great, shower good. Wifi grand and an excellent breakfast. All the basics covered well in a beautiful setting. Charm personified and the staff complimented this perfectly. Had a lovely evening meal too. Will definitely return.”

“We spent 3 nights in the St Ninians flat upstairs. The view across the Clyde was fabulous, possibly better than the downstairs flats. The house is well placed for travelling around the island with bus stops nearby. It was kept very clean and the beds were very comfortable and the heating came on when we needed it. The nearest supermarket (Coop) is in Rothesay itself about a mile away. The only point to be aware of is that in common with most other holiday flats, previous renters have made a……

“From arrival to departure, our stay was everything we hoped for and more besides. Perfect location and facilities within the complex are excellent. We came for a relaxing, time for us break and that’s exactly what we got. Left feeling relaxed, reconnected and happy. We will definitely be back. ”

“The hotel was clean and generally in good decorative condition. There was some signs of age and wear and tear in the corridors. The food in the restaurant was excellentl. The bar food not as good quality. The staff were polite courteous and attentive. My main concern was that after being very clear in my booking that I had a physical disabilty I was allocated a bedroom along a corridor with two sets of stairs. These were difficult to negotiate using elbows crutches. I had to to resort to……

“Expectations were high with a score of 9.2 but I was disappointed. Room a bit pokey, very odd matress & bedding, terrible shower. Decor throughout a bit tired. Residents bar very limited and nothing on draught. Breakfast was ok. On the plus side, staff were all very nice, location is quiet with a nice park opposite and there's enough parking. I'd stay again if in Girvan but can't say I'd look forward to it.”

“The room we stayed in was excellent more like a suite than bedroom. Really soacious with sofa and easy chairs as well as a window seat. There was a Kingsize bed, mattress a little too firm for our liking. Two tvs one at each end of the room. The bathroom was luxurious and large. We had breakfast each day at the hotel Nd there was a good choice. Staff were friendly and helpful. The daily housekeeping was faultless. Would definitely stay here again.”

“I cannot say enough about the most wonderful staff at this hotel. They were so friendly and accomodating. The meals were superb, and the view from the dining room unmatched. It is to be expected that it is an older building and some things are a little different, make sure if you have mobility issues to ask questions before you go. I did see wheelchair ramps. We truly enjoyed it and wish we had stayed another night or 2 to walk the grounds.”
