“Given the reviews of the BenMas, I expected something better. The rooms were quite small and very warm without a fan. Many of the outlets didn't work. The food was fair, but limited and the dining room & linens rather run down. Overall, the staff did not seem to be able to solve problems or provide solutions without being pressured to do so (not at all my experience in other Ethiopian hotels). The BenMas is affordable, but I will look for other hotel options the next time I'm in BD”

“Fasil, the manager, sent the hotel shuttle to pick us up at the airport. The hotel was modern but with marble floors and high ceilings to keep it cool. It had a great restaurant especially for breakfast which was included. It had a terrace which was obviously a favorite gathering spot for locals as well as guests. Overall the service was great and the rooms were incredibly clean and comfortable.”

“I have traveled the world with my family, and HIGHLY recommend the Mayleko Lodge. I selected the lodge at random, and was glad I did. The service was incredible. The Hotel Manger paid personal visits to our room to ensure that we were doing well, and in one case noted we were late for breakfast, and offered to arrange room service so we would not miss our breakfast. The Hotel Manger also arranged sightseeing with a very knowledgeable local guide that my son and I very much enjoyed. The Food……

“Es un hotel situado en una bonita zona, el exterior es muy bonito con grandes árboles y bonitos jardines, sin embargo la dirección del hotel es simplemente inexistente, las habitaciones están viejas y descuidadas, alquilamos 3 habitaciones y las 3 duchas estaban rotas. Después de 3 días aún no encontraban nuestra reserva y nos tuvieron una hora esperando en el check out hasta que conseguimos resolver el entuerto. El precio fué muy elevado para las condiciones del hotel. Francamente no……

“Good choice. Very good service, took us to the airport twice for collecting missing baggage. They served us breakfast at 6am when needed. Excellent Ethiopian coffee! Due to the limited English skills of the restaurant staff, pointing to the menu item is the best option. The reception speaks English well. Some equipment items in the bathroom need repair/replacement. Clean rooms, internet which worked well unless power cuts. ”
