“We had a lovely stay in room 7 with a sliding door we could open to look out over the beautiful garden and view of the water. Towels were plush, room was clean and cozy. Everyone on staff is very friendly and the grounds were kept immaculate. Coffee was very tasty and always on, breakfast was blueberry pancakes and they were top notch. We used the water toys, the beach was private and the water warm compared to other areas in Nova Scotia. I would highly recommend”

“This is such a beautiful family owned home/barn converted into very spacious, modern rooms set on a beautiful, quiet, waterfront property. We had the best sleep of our trip at this location (occupied a 1st floor barn room). Room included coffee maker, hot pot, microwave, fridge, dishes, kitchen sink, toaster. You do need to bring your own coffee for the room, but the main house serves coffee as well as snacks and cold drinks.”

“This is the most quaint room I have ever been in. The staff is very attentive. The hotel is more like an B&B but I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone I talk to.”

“Room was not properly cleaned unfortunately. We have to ask reception to sweep the floors. There was issue with drain - water stopper almost in close position and blocked water from properly draining and no way to pop up it more. So maintenance guy fixed it on our request But because they don't have maintenance guy onsite, they have to call it after his dinner. An This since we stay for two nights it was a big deal). We initially asked to swap unit, but they didn't have spare one :( and……

“We arrived at the Super 8 Amherst with a positive first impression. Sadly, our stay was overshadowed by not being able to use the pool area. There were far too many kids, left unattended and running wild creating a loud and completely horrible pool setting. My kids were really looking forward to using the slide and were bullied and physically pushed out of the way from the large group of kids (my daughter is 14, not a tiny little kid easy to shove around. The parents of these kids were either……
