Bright, open Girdwood studio

Open floor plan studio in Girdwood. Small but open, vaulted ceilings give it a much larger feeling. It’s ideal for a single couples romantic weekend getaway. Will accommodate a small family of four, also compatible for two couples or any mixture of people that are close.

It’s located on a small loop road at the base of Max’s Mountain. Surrounded by the giant Hemlock trees that are local to this part of the Chugach Forrest. It is a very quiet location and provides a fantastic nights sleep. Having your own transportation is recommended, 4-wheel is necessary on a snowy winter day.

Lots of great dining in the area, or the kitchen is ready to prep a gourmet meal. Many great hikes in the area. Virgin Creek trail head is super close. Mountain biking, kayaking, paddle boarding are popular summer activities. Alpine and Nordic skiing, fat tire biking in the winter.

Cute studio in Girdwood. We didn't spend much time there. 40 minutes from Anchorage, neighborhood is right off Cook Inlet. Highly recommended the drive to Whittier.Easy check in/check out.

Great time in Girdwood

The studio was a single room that was well furnished and kept clean. The host was kind and provided us with booklet with a lot of information about the area and things to check out. It was a great place to hang out in or use as a basecamp for day trips.

Great Studio Accomodation close to Anchorage and Seward

Comfortable and convenient for what we had planned in the area. Great for own meal preparation and the kitchen had everything we needed. The owner was prompt with any communication. Bed was very very soft.

Nice studio with all the amenities. Great communication with owner. Bed was a little hard to get into due to height but was comfy once we got settled in. Beautiful view of mountain top out the window. Take note that there are two flights of external stairs that you need to climb to reach the space.

Nice, tiny place with a pretty location.

Small and cute. Adequate for two guests. Kitchen is well stocked with supplies. Bed is huge and very comfy mattress. Really good quality linens and extra blankets too. Pull out couch is comfy enough for a small person. The windows could use better curtains and the big kitchen window definitely needs a blackout option since the room gets too bright in the long sunny days! Bathroom definitely needs a door and blocking on the top for privacy! Shower is nice and hot with his pressure but the rod needs to be reinforced better. Appreciated the hair dryer and fluffy towels. Overall, good for a short stay for a couple. Good location. These small improvements suggested could make it even better. Thanks for hosting.

A Really Nice Place

We come to Girdwood once a month throughout the winter, and stay at different places each time. This place was one of the better ones we've been to! Very nice, well laid out, perfectly stocked with all the tools we need to cook our meals. We will most likely come back again to this little cabin!

Loved our stay

This is a really great small house that is part of the neighborhood, but with all the trees, it feels a little secluded. The place is quiet inside and out, it had everything we needed. The only thing we can think of that could have been better is that we could have used black out curtains. It was just the wife and I, but it could’ve handled three. Four would’ve been a stretch as it would feel very cramped. We loved this place and if we ever come back to the city of Alaska, we will try to stay here again!
