The proprietor, Catherine, welcomed us into her home, offering tea and home-baked sweet-cakes, a lively discussion of the history and workings of the local establishment. “It was a beautiful location. The cottages are well equipped. There was a bit of a musty smell. I think that could have been the carpets in the bedrooms and sitting area. Wooden floors would be more hygienic. Having the hotel so close was the effect for the leisure centre and bar! A great weekend all considered and I will be back!”

“Neil the host welcomed us when we arrived and explained everything. The cabin was spotless, and full of everything we needed, and cosy and warm.
