Arumeru Chalets

"The location of this lodge is amazing, offering a serene setting to enjoy the wildlife of Tanzania when not on safari. The lodge sits on the edge of a marsh and gave us multiple terrace options (including a private one attached to our room) to do some bird watching. While there , we saw the African fish eagle and Black-and-white cascade hornbill, songbirds too many to count, along with some visiting Vervet monkeys. The staff were among the most attentive and friendly that we have experienced and...

"With such a low daily cost, I was worried it would be minimal. But to my pleasant surprise, the room I was given was very modern looking. It had its own bathroom, and plugs for charging along with strong WiFi. Nice comfortable queen sized bed and a bunk bed. Deborah and her husband were very attentive hosts. They arranged transportation to the airport for me. The meals were low priced, tasty and plentiful. The compound has a basketball court as advertised. There were also fruit trees and...

"I had a great stay there and such a great host. Belinda very nice person she waited for me patiently as my flight got there pretty late. Very attentive and just good people. "

"It is a very peaceful Lodge."

It is just outside Arusha and so much quieter and clean air, there is a lawn and pool and tables to relax and socialize while taking in a great view of Mt Meru and all the birds. The staff are all so so happy and friendly and the place is kept immaculate, with cleaning and gardening work. The food was also excellent - flavourful and well prepared. There were locals coming on weekends for family celebrations. The...

"This was the perfect location for us to recover from a long flight from Canada. Relaxing, peaceful and excellent hosts! It is a bit out of the way, there are no restaurants walking distance but a short taxi away. They have a kitchen on site with a set menu. Be sure to book your taxi well in advance and brings snacks."

"Yes there is a bumpy 15 minute ride from the main road but the pay off is a tranquil environment to relax at Kili Villa. Our room had a lovely outlook to the gardens where local fauna and birds did their thing. The staff were welcoming and courteous, and the food was delicious. Perhaps the experience could have been improved with better communication about food and drink options when we arrived (with an explanation card). There are no other options for F&B in the area (aside from the golf club)...
