"Excellent location as only a few minutes walk to the convention centre. Staff were excellent in every respect. Only downer was still a very noisy site despite being on the 14th floor and woke up at 6am to a huge crane outside the apartment on the last morning. Other than that this is a top location for anyone thinking of staying in Canberra CBD"

"We've stayed here numerous times, it's our go-to for Canberra visits. The one-bedroom apartments are spacious, well equipped, clean and extremely comfortable and we always enjoy our stay. We've never dined in the restaurant but every now and then we'll order breakfast delivered to the room and it arrives promptly, is delicious and we find it to be good value. Secure underground parking is free with hotels.com VIP status or when booking directly, but public transport for getting around the city literally is at the door. Staff are friendly, happy hour in the bar is enjoyable and there's really not much not to like. It'll be even better when streaming services are added to the television mix, Chromecast is available but fiddly. But we love the Deco overall, it's a stellar place to stay."

"I stayed for 1 night (across 2 days) and overall had a mixed experience. The digital key system made coming and going really convenient, and the shared lobby area was great – spacious, comfortable, and with a lovely view. However, the bathrooms let the experience down a bit. The soap and body wash dispensers were empty the whole time I was there. I had brought my own, so it wasn’t a big issue for me personally, but I didn’t see anyone checking or refilling them during my stay. If I had been staying longer, I definitely would have flagged it to staff, but it was a bit disappointing. The dorm itself was fine, but unfortunately, some other guests were really noisy – coming in late, going in and out past 10pm, rummaging through bags, and turning the main lights on while others were clearly trying to sleep. Not necessarily the hostel’s fault, but something to be aware of. With a few small improvements, this place could be a really solid option."

"The apartment was perfect for our needs - spotlessly clean, full kitchen, and two bathrooms, which is so handy with four people. The beds were firm and the pillows were very good quality. We loved the secure basement parking, quiet complex, clean and fast lifts. There's a large shopping centre across the road. Only notes to make - the washing machine had a musty smell, there were only highly-perfumed laundry sheets for washing (so we bought our own) and there were no pegs (but we had brought some from home). Highly recommended. "
