“Aristieta is located in a beautiful, quiet, bucolic area of Kanpantxu, near Gernika. It is part of an organic farmstead operated by Alex and his wife, the hosts. Their home and farmhouse has been lovingly restored by their family and friends and is a unique property in every sense of the word. We enjoyed our stay very much, and especially, our spacious room with a magnificent view of the surroundings. The breakfasts were simple and tasty. Coffee was great! “Lovely quiet county retreat. The staff were so nice and food delicious. Wonderful area for hiking but note that wooded walks only straight from the hotel. Only a short drive to get to more open hiking. Great towns nearby too.”

As we frequently drive from France through to Portugal and return, this will now be a regular stop for us and we’re already looking forward to revisiting. ”

“Mooi historidch en gerenoveerd pand dicht bij de snelweg, zonder hinder te ondervinden van dese snelweg. Vriendelijk personeel en onze hond was heel welkom. Kamers zijn brandschoon en de hele accommodatie ruikt lekker. Electrische oplader voor auto is gratis, maar wel erg traag. ”

We were leaving early in the morning & were able to pay our bill before going to bed, leaving the key at reception & departing quietly Will definitely return & I can recommend this hotel”
