"My cousin and I found the guest house beautiful, as well as color coordinated throughout. It was very comfortable and clean with fresh sheets. Large tv’s in both the den — that the kitchen opened into — and bedroom. The king bed was very comfortable, something that was a bonus since I don’t always find beds that way! The bathroom was large, with a washer and dryer. It was well appointed and included a walk-in shower. There was a covered patio with table and chairs just a few feet from the door which we enjoyed as well. The one and only downside was that you couldn’t see the water from the guest house or patio outside. In order to see and reach Bayou Teche you had to walk around the main house, though it was a short walk to the water. There was a wonderful pier over the water. While we didn’t fish you could see them jumping! There were also comfortable lounge chairs that we set up on the dock, enjoying the water and scenery. So very quiet and peaceful. :) Heather and Mac were wonderful hosts, giving you complete privacy but available should you need to talk with them. In all a very pleasant stay!"

"Had such a wonderful stay at Chateau Royal! I am from New Iberia, but we have outgrown our family home, so in recent years have needed to find alternative places to stay. This is our new favorite place. It was clean and well stocked. Within walking distance to great restaurants, bars, shopping, City Park. Great view of Bayou Teche from back deck. Plenty of room for family to visit. Mickey made sure we had everything we needed. We needed extra space, and booked Bayou Chateau next door last minute. We hope to stay here again soon!!"
