Room was very spacious and well maintained , the staff were friendly and professional, couldn’t do enough for me
Really enjoyed my evening meal ( prices were very reasonable)
Great traditional country pub/inn
Definitely recommend a visit
Stayed in family room which was very spacious and had a large en suite. Everything was spotlessly clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very quiet despite being a pub. Good choice for breakfast which was delicious. Having real milk and bottled water in the rooms was a nice touch.
In a village with nice walks and lovely seating area outside.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The property is very dog friendly with a little field at the back where they can stretch their legs. Highly recommended.
Absolutely beautiful pub and room, food was stunning and room was wonderfully clean and comfortable. Staff were so warm and friendly and we felt so welcome. Thankyou for a lovely stay.
A wonderful country pub with atmosphere, fabulous food and great selection of drinks
A warm homely feeling
The rooms were wonderful and thoroughly enjoyed my stay
Lovely spacious stay at this pub for my family, loved the little touches.. fresh milk in the room, with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. Large comfy beds. Staff were very friendly, and we had dinner here too which was delicious and well priced.
Only thing that let it down were the light curtains giving us an early wake up, a black out blind would be a perfect addition!
Well located for Forbidden Corner and Druids Temple.
We were shown to our room which was a good size with a large bathroom. Fresh milk available from the fridge on the landing for a cuppa.
We had dinner here, very tasty chicken and salad on flatbread. Our breakfast was also lovely, freshly prepared and good quality. Cereals, juices and toast available along with a full English or other options.
A comfortable bed and plenty storage space for those staying longer. A quiet village location.
It's a Community owned pub so nice to contribute to it's continued success. I would recommend it for looking round this area.
I arrived after 8pm, but had been alerted in advance to the kitchen closing at that time, so had adjusted my meals accordingly. What a great welcome you get in this community-owned pub - you almost feel like a local! All six rooms look spotless and really comfortable. Mine looked out the back and towards fields and a hill. There was a basket full of drinks and sachets - including drinking chocolate, which seems to have vanished from most other hotels. And the en-suite was sparkling. It was great to relax in the bar for an hour that evening. A full, delicious English breakfast was relaxingly served at 9am. Parking was at the back of the hotel, through a narrow stone archway.
I give 5 STARS to this community for their guts and ambition to deliver such a beautiful Inn.
