“My wife had wanted to visit DC and the surrounding areas for several years so we opted to stay at this property northeast of the National Mall.The location is great. It is a reasonable walk to the Capitol and the Mall. The property is also a short walk to many excellent eateries. (Unfortunately many of the museums were closed due to the government shutdown, but we had a great time nonetheless.)I found our host to be helpful and quick to respond to questions through-out our visit. “Beautiful place! Great location for our needs. Great communication with the host. Highly recommended. There were only 4 of us and it was a short stay, but was perfect! Plenty of space. The “kids” (young adults) were able to have their own room. Bathroom for each bedroom and a half bath downstairs.One thing to keep in mind if considering: access is all stairs. This is a 4th floor unit (no elevator) and there are stairs in the unit as well to get to the 2nd and 3rd floor bedrooms. Not a negative……

“When on vacation, location is important. And Reviews are important! This listing has 2 reviews only and there were no comments, so I feel it is important to be accurate here. While this listing boasts of it's close distance to various DC attractions, it is in a neighborhood and on a street corner that did not make me or my family feel safe. There are people lined up all along the street from noon well into the hours past midnight. We happened to be there during the week of July 4th so fireworks……

“Overall, this flat offered all we were looking for, a great price close to all the sights we were hoping to see. I assumed because it was a 3rd floor unit that there was an elevator, I was wrong. My husband is disabled so my own fault for not asking the question prior to booking. We didn't spend much time going up and down the stairs, and grandkids came in handy to retrieve meal deliveries. I understand that DC is undergoing gentrification, but I did not expect to experience people hanging out on the corner just across the apartment all times of day and night.
