“I stayed here twice in a week. First was for one night on 31st May which was truly a dreadful experience. On arrival I discovered that a palm oil company were having an event at the hotel for employees and their families overnight. Apart from finding this extremely distasteful as that industry is responsible for destroying the habitat of animals it was very clear that the hotel was unable to deal with such a large number of guests as well as guests such as myself. Children were running around……

“The best part of our stay was waking up to the magnificent view from our window. We had no problem getting a taxi to the Sepilok attractions and while the city center is a little worn, there is great food there.”
