“We loved staying at the Casita del sol cabin. Took a vacation to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday on 4th of July. We choose the cabin we did because it was off the beaten path and cozy looking yet only about 40 mins to Montpelier and maybe an hour or so to Stow (via as litle highway as possible.) “We were visiting family in nearby Brandon. The space was perfect for our needs. Kitchen was set up with breakfast items and fridge had eggs, bread, milk, water, and basic condiments. The piano was a treat and allowed me to work on some preparation for a concert in the coming week. David is a very attentive host and the story behind the place is fascinating. ”

“The location was perfect for our stay. The cabin had everything we needed. The Host was responsive to all issues and questions we had. The cabin is on a dirt road that is steep in places. (Many roads in VT are dirt/gravel roads). No problems for us. We enjoyed our stay.”

“I went to Song Sparrow Cottage to work on a novel. I left with a few good chapters in my laptop and the lingering sense of a place that is gloriously away from the maddening crowd. “A few days before arrival, we were sent an email containing instructions for the property. These instructions were addressed to another individual and dated 2021, which seems to be an indication of the last time the property had any attention. Arrival was fairly smooth, following the instruction sheet. The exterior of the house was somewhat worn, with sections of missing gutter, worn paint, and loose entry steps. Inside, both the garage and in the main living area were cluttered and dusty. It……

“This home has it all! Beautifully decorated, cozy fireplace, spacious private surroundings, the BEST claw foot bathtubs, mountain and star views magnificent! We had 12 people and the home’s size afforded us all plenty of privacy. Great stove in kitchen. Plenty of firewood stacked. Off grid living was cool! No TVs! Such a needed break from the seasonal chaos! Highly recommend ❤️”
