Experience - The Area...Just a two minute walk to the coastal footpath and superb sandy beaches of Bude, this recently built, detached single storey cottage is set in an elevated position on the southern side of the harbour in this popular seaside town, close to the 19th century parish church with quarter bell. All of the towns amenities including a good selection of shops, pubs, restaurants, extensive golden sandy beaches and the coast path are less than a 5 minute walk respectively and Widemouth Bay is 3 miles via the South West Coast Path. There is a leisure centre and supermarket 1 mile away and Bude Canal has excellent facilities for coarse fishing, canoeing, rowing boat hire and enjoyable walks along the canal towpath. Tintagel linked with the legend of King Arthur and the picturesque North Coast harbourside village of Boscastle are a 30 minute drive respectively, as is the famous hillside Devon village of Clovelly. Stay - The Accommodation...Combermere Cottage is fully double glazed and offers warm and cosy accommodation at any time of the year with air source under floor heating and a cosy wood burning stove, particularly suitable for the less mobile as there are no internal steps. Entered from the block paved driveway where there is parking for one car, the front door set beneath an open porch leads directly into a beautifully light and airy, open plan living room with a vaulted ceiling and exposed cross beams. A restful carpeted seating area at the front has a feature stone wall with a woodburner on the slate hearth, sofa and two chairs and distant sea views, and at the rear is a smartly fitted kitchen with a slate tile floor, integrated appliances and an adjacent dining suite. From the living room, a door gives access to an inner hallway leading to a shower room W.C. with hand basin and two pleasantly light bedrooms with glimpses of Bude Canal and the sea. There is a twin bedded room overlooking the front patio and the master bedroom with a 5ft double bed, and an en-suite bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath. French Windows from the lounge and master bedroom open to a long, walled and gated, paved terrace that spans the length of the property with distant sea views over the neighbouring rooftops.
