Sleep Inn & Suites Johnson City

8/10 Good

"I love this property except for the fact that there are too many lights in the room so if you’re light sensitive at night, bring a mask. There are four night lights plus the light coming in from the parking lot around the curtains. I had to put a rolled up towel at the bottom of the curtains to get rid of some of the light. It was very quiet though even though it’s near a highway. However, the HVAC was loud so bring earplugs also."

"The room was clean but the couch wasn't very comfortable. Overall not a bad hotel but we'd probably pick a different one next time."

The Embers Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Beautiful hotel in the best location in Blowing Rock. Park & walk to everything. Their staff were the best! Had breakfast & dinner there & both were great. Only negative: they have waffles in the menu but apparently haven't been able to make them for a month; need to find a solution or remove from menu. Room was great as was the extra large balcony with very comfy seating & TV to watch college football on what was a beautiful & warm Saturday afternoon in the beautiful town of Blowing Rock. It's always refreshing to be here, & this stay was no exception. Highly recommend the Embers for a stay at the Rock!"
