Car Rental Beiyuan

When you've covered all the fabulous sights in Beiyuan, there's loads more to see in the surrounding area. Grab the keys to a rental car, throw your bags in the trunk and take to the open road. These are some road trips you're sure to enjoy:

• Chengde is around 110 miles from Beiyuan. Well-known sights like Bishu Shanzhuang should be at the top of your list here.
• Why not see the wonders of Fangshan too? Unmissable sights in this colorful city include Peking Man at Zhoukoudian. Fangshan is around 45 miles from Beiyuan.
• Make your way to Beidaihe Beach to rediscover nature. Pack a picnic to enjoy or just recharge your batteries in the fresh air. From Beiyuan, it's 150 miles away.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in China, then you might need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country in order to rent a car. It's also important to note that if an IDP is required, it won't be valid on its own. You'll need to show your driver's license from your home country your passport and other forms of identification as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card you used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your license and passport. Some other things to note to rent a car internationally are:

• Age restrictions: You'll need to be 25 or over in most places to rent a car. If you're younger than that, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of vehicles available to rent.
• Driving limitations: Be sure to read the rules and regulations before driving away. Usually, you can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or go off-roading with a rental car.
