There are many exciting adventures to be had in Khlong Tan, but head farther afield and you'll find even more magic. Arrange a set of wheels and you can meander around the surrounding area at your own pace. Add these awesome drives to your travel plan:

• You'll discover Buddha Mountain and many other intriguing attractions in Pattaya. From Khlong Tan, it's roughly 60 miles away.
• Next stop? Hua Hin, which is around 90 miles away. Hua Hin Railway Station is one local draw card you shouldn't miss.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in Thailand, then you'll likely need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence to be allowed to rent a car.
