The New Court was good value for money and the staff friendly and helpfull. The bed was comfortable, however the bathroom could have been a little cleaner. The rooms are small (which is to be expected in buildings of this age) so be aware. Room was very compact. No room to swing a cat in the shower. Strange layout to bathroom, shower built on 3 half steps, could be a huge fall risk. Annoying green light from emergency lighting shining in the room all night. Breakfast was delightful, however i would prefer my toast to be served the same time as the eggs, not the same time as the cereal. Small room but fairly comfortable. Old windows so outside noise but in a quiet village. The green emergency lighting in the room was so bright it lit the entire room up so I struggled to sleep. We reported this on arrival, but there was no sign of a fix during our two-day stay. This problem meant we had to seek assistance each time we left our room. Also the radiator was switched off when we arrived at circa 8pm, and the boiler was evidently switched off by that time as the heating did not come on when we turned the radiator on. This was my third stay in as many months. This time room 1 wasn’t the biggest but the bed was comfortable. The welcome from Pippa and service from Stuart was first class.
