Disgusting. Dirty. Dated. Completely neglected.
Calling this place a “resort” is ridiculous. There is absolutely nothing about it that resembles a resort. Southeast Motel would be a much more accurate name.
I came to Sitka for a work trip and immediately regretted staying here. Dirty carpets, dated rooms, check-in issues, WiFi that didn’t work, and a TV that didn’t work. For a business traveler, not having functioning WiFi alone is unacceptable.
The entire property feels like it hasn’t been properly cared for in years. Whatever is happening with the ownership or management, the lack of attention shows everywhere.
Honestly, comparing it to a Motel 6 or Red Roof Inn might be unfair to them.
The one positive? The water was hot. That is literally the only good thing I have to say about my stay.
I will never stay here again. If you’re coming to Sitka, especially for work, stay somewhere else.
