“This place is in a great location in downtown Panama City, Panama, but the building is infected with roaches. We had to kill at least ten roaches in the apartment that we were staying in. I messaged the host to send a exterminator, but he never did. The hot water heater also doesn't work. The hot water only stayed on for about 5 minutes, in the bathroom shower and then it was cold again. The maintenance guy came twice, but it didn't work. We took lukewarm to cold showers while we stayed there....

“Property lies on the border of the best part of town and the worst part of town. Either way is safe, but the tourist and restaurants and shops are to your right. Please know that regardless of what VRBO says, you will need to pay via a third party app. The check-in was long and tenuous for no reason because we were confused by this. The listing should clearly state this before you reserve so you know what to expect. I believe this is the case for many VRBO in Panama. The apartment has 2B /2B....

“Beware of this host. This host confirmed my reservation and then went MIA the day of check-in. I was stuck in the lobby of the building with my whole family and no access to the unit. VRBO tried to contact him with no success. I had to scramble to find another place last minute which ended up costing more. Beware.”

“View is nice. Pool is nice. The apartment is pretty bare bones. Only sheets to cover yourself at night. Like 5 clothes hangers to share between all the rooms.
