“The bedroom was furnished to a very high standard as was the interior of this beautiful historic building. The staff were friendly and the garden is beautiful. It was a very nice English experience in a pretty part of the world.”

“We stayed here for a wedding at Bourton Hall, the location is great and the outdoor/conservatory area is fantastic for drinks in the sun. The room was clean and comfortable, however the walls were pigging and in desperate need of repainting. Overall was a great stay though.”

“Food was very good, reception very helpful, room very quirky. I had to book a family room as last one left - was the only room on the top floor built into the eaves. Two double bedrooms, very spacious and nice and quiet. Be aware that the rooms are in an apartment style building (bit like Butlins) across the car park. There is no lift - I was on the 2nd floor and struggled a bit with my suitcase as I have a bad hip (age!). I would also recommend to the hotel that they put some grab bars in……

Only 1 pillow each which was very flat so the next day I asked at reception if I could have another two pillows to be told no they only have enough for two pillows in each room so I said I’m sure not every room is booked out can you please sort 2 pillows she said she will have a word with housekeeping and get them sent up. “This is a gorgeous inn in a picture-perfect English village! The only issues I have is that the room for 3 people is quite inadequate in size and furnishings. A couple of hooks to hang clothes, a footstool as the only seating, no drawers and only one folding luggage rack, meaning we had to live out of suitcases on the limited floorspace. The restaurant was fabulous even though it had a very limited and expensive menu, and other options were in nearby towns. We would go back in a heartbeat if……
