The room smelled fairly strongly like old smoke. Which is kind of a big deal to me being its supposed to be smoke free. Had a lot of dust and dirt in the corners and places. Thankfully the beds and bedding and towels and stuff looked clean.

The property was clean, neat and we had everything we needed. We chose this because it did not have amenities and we did not want them. We needed a place to sleep and shower. Had fridge & microwave. No coffee in room or pool or weight room. Room was quiet and had AC. Location was good. Was between a Burger King and a Wendy's, so there were places to eat. Gas station across the street. Good central location to other businesses. Didn't see any point in staying places much higher for things we don't use. Only probably was getting them to answer in the lobby. Needed extra roll of toilet tissue and towels. Both times just happened to see the cleaner and told her what we needed. Needs were met. Would stay again as reasonably priced.

Website listed price was not honored by hotel after I had already made reservations. When I arrived they charged more for the room and said the website was incorrect. The room was very small, but clean. Check in was quick.

Parking was right outside my door. Room was dated but clean. Everything in the room worked as it should. The young boy at the front desk seemed to be a little lost when I was trying to check-in. But the lady that came along was more than helpful. Great stay for the money. Will stay there again when in sedalia. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance as well as a large grocery store across the street. The microwave in the refrigerator in the room.Both worked excellent.

Got my money's worth.

Cleaner than most older motels. Small but was more than adequate for an overnight stay on a hunting trip. Heat/air unit was quiet and there was a good sized TV to watch. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

Ample parking area, and the surroundings were quiet and peaceful. Not on the main street, so there was minimal traffic noise. Nice clean rooms and clean bathrooms. Large TV screen, and ample room to put luggage and move around. Comfortable bed and pillow. Much needed air conditioner kept the temperature just right!

I chose this because it was the cheapest option. I did not expect much, but the room looked like there'd been no updates on the room (aside from DIY repairs) since the 70s. It looked very dirty in the bathroom (where there is no counter) with mold on the walls (likely because there was no bathroom fan. Also, paprr thin walls and venting lets you hear EVERYTHING nearby. If it was a little more private and clean, this place would be awesome.

Didn't like 3 police cars & ambulance in the parking lot. And if someone drives or walks in at night, the parking lot lights up like a scene from a murder. Not exactly making staying there feel safe. Room appeared to being very recently updated but the TV is put where you hit it each time you use the bathroom (I'm 6'2"). Took forever to check in. Had to stay in the 'vestibule' which had NO air conditioning and after 5 minutes I had sweated thru my shirt. Was in there a good half hour before getting the key pad that wasn't programed so had to walk back down to get that fixed.

Not worth the price

I got there a little early than check in time, she told me she was waiting on my sheets to get done so she could make the bed, not a problem she checked me in and I went to go get something to eat, bed was made room clean but dated not a problem with me, going to bed I pulled the comforter and sheets back, the comforter had stains and so did the sheets, went to work next day came back room clean but only 1 cup left for coffee for Wednesday, not a problem thought they would put more in when they cleaned again, much to my surprise came back from work room was not even touched, the rest of the week didn’t clean or empty trash and not even the sheets or anymore towels or coffee until Friday, emptied trash gave towels no coffee and didn’t even change the sheets, I’m glad I booked on line I would no pay the 50 dollar charge if you just walk in, even booking on line was still a little to much for there. Good location for restaurants though

I stayed at the American Inn in Sedalia, Mo on August 22, 2026 to attend the Stare Fair evening Concert. I rented a room with two double beds for $255 per night. I have since discovered the room usually rents for $50 per night. The hotel was dirty, barely had room for two full size beds, stains on bedspreads thin dingy towels and washcloths… and had roaches crawling up the wall the next morning. I was definitely price gouged because of the Fair. I thought at the price I was paying having rented through Expedia the motel would be a nice facility. Don’t stay there if you have any other options. It is absolutely the worst I have ever had to stay in!

We were extremely disappointed at the condition of the room. The queen bed was so close to the wall the person sleeping closest to the wall had to crawl across the foot of the bed to get in. Couldn't move the bed because of the frame. The lamps in the room were rusted on the bases. Only one set of towels for two people. No coffee cups or shampoo. There were roaches in the bathroom. We will never stay there again!
