Cozy home, close to downtown Atlanta
We rented this home during our trip to Atlanta for a concert and a fun weekend away. Our group included two adults and four teenagers. The home was cozy and clean. The neighborhood is quiet, and it isn’t far at all to drive to downtown Atlanta. We knew parking at the concert would be scarce, and there would be a very large crowd, so we opted to take a train to Mercedes-Benz stadium. That was a perfect option as the train was only about a 4-5 minute drive from the house.
Pros for this home: Quiet neighborhood, conveniently located, clean, prompt communication from host. There was confusion over pricing that was quickly fixed by the owner once I questioned it. Definitely beats staying in an overpriced hotel (that raises their prices when a big event is in town).
Cons for this home: There’s a security camera at the entry (inside living room). We turned and eventually unplugged it (for obvious reasons).
We assumed the home is dual-purposed, but there are items belonging to the owner that we weren’t sure if we should bother (there was no written list of rules left when we arrived).
Windows could use better covering. My husband covered the upstairs bathroom window with my cardigans because the blinds were tattered. Also downstairs laundry room blinds are unusable. There was a package left while we were there and picked up while we were out. Our kids found that creepy, but it’s not something I would split hairs over.
Overall, this was a nice place to stay for a few days. We enjoyed the concert and our time relaxing in the home. We did receive a message with simple instructions for cleanup the night before we checked out.
