"It is an older hotel, and the carpets are old. However, we thought the bed was very comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Great location!!"

"Such a nice, clean, well maintained property!
Private cabins, comfortable beds and fully stocked kitchen. Staff is very welcoming and helpful.
We would definitely choose this motel again and recommend you choose it too!"

We got a room overlooking the river and garden. The room was very nice and updated. It came with a refrigerator and microwave, which is always handy to have. Easy access to the room from the parking lot.
The view was beautiful.
You can ask for a non-pets room if you are severely allergic. We didn't know this, and we both have some allergies, but the room was clean and we didn't notice it at all (assuming pets had been in the room).

I normally stay at the Hood River Inn down by the river, when I am in town, but it was full, along with other places I have stayed at before.. Expedia recommended this one, it only had 3 units left when I booked. I did not know what to expect when I arrived, but I was very happy with what I found when I arrived. I was in town for the Hood River Follies, a play put on for 6 days over two weekends, sponsored by the local area Lions Club's, (this was the 39th year) with a cast of about 75...

You can find a great deal from $87 on Cook motels with Expedia. Typically, prices are higher during popular times – like weekends and holidays – while staying midweek is often cheaper. To find the best nightly rates on Cook motels, try to be flexible with travel dates, and sort search results by price from low to high.
Is it better to stay in a Cook motel or hotel?
Motels and Hotels have different perks. When you stay at a motel, you’re likely to find free parking and an outdoor pool. Staying overnight at a motel, can be handy when requiring easy road access. You’ll often have access to your room from outside, and directly from the parking lot. Hotels generally have room access from inside the building. Motels are also often less expensive than hotels. The word “motel” was coined in 1925 by the owner of the Milestone Mo-Tel in San Luis Obispo, California.
