The room was clean and comfortable. The food choices and service was good and i enjoyed eating there. I was not really expecting much as the cost was very reasonable but was impressed. The staff were really good and very pleasant. This is a town centre pub so noise may be an issue at times but during our stay it was only evident on the friday night (before xmas) which still was not a problem. It’s near the ferry terminal close to shops etc . Lovely pub with great food . Rooms are small and clean and can be a bit noisy as above a pub but that’s to be expected . Our room this year was very hot but a fan was in the room which helped a bit. Only complaint this year the mattresses really need replaced ,so thin in our room you could feel every slat and the pillows thin and cheap . Maybe ok for one night but after 4 nights our backs not good and would put us off staying again . We did ask if they had any Mattress toppers and were just told no. The windows open onto the high street which would be nice to know beforehand.
