“Good parking area. Room was large comfy bed. Needed some work doing in bathroom the flooring was coming away and the main room window frame was in desperate need of attention. Only saw 2 members of staff over 4 days they were polite. ”

“Lovely spacious clean rooms. Staff very pleasant and helpful. The first night we had to park on grass because the parking bays were full when we came back late! The next day we managed to get a parking space. Everything else was excellent.”

“The first thing to comment on is how good the staff were. Helpful and friendly in every area. In other areas the experience was good but fell down slightly on detail. The room was cosy, but needed a bit of TLC. A bit of paint touching here and there. Dinner was good, but the sea bass was tiny and the lamb pie was parsimonious with the lamb. The sticky toffee pudding could have been warmer. The menu is not cheap. At breakfast ingredients were excellent but eggs cooked too long, tomatoes too……

“Very beautiful stay! Very peaceful and relaxing!! Definitely worth the value! It was very Cosy, and when lighting the fire it heated up the whole pod very easily! Hot tub was really relaxing, easy steps and instructions on how to use it and the fireplace. Each pod had box’s for you to buy wood from by scanning the QR code so no need to leave your pod!! The pod came with a very nice bed and lovely bedding! Soft pillows and duvet. Tv provided with channels, Netflix, YouTube etc. Very cosy at night……

“Lovely property with very nice and helpful staff. Food and drink was excellent. Just unfortunate that the room was so hot. It was a warm day but considering it was April and a 20-22C day I was shocked how uncomfortable the room felt. Portable AC is provided but not overly effective. ”

“Different experience traveling from the US- shared bathroom, check-in at the bar in the adjacent restaurant, modestly lit path along the side of the building to the hallway door that led to the rooms.”

“Originally from Horncastle now living in the USA, The Rodney is always where we stay when visiting. The staff are so friendly and the food is really great, especially the breakfast, such a nice selection. My only suggestion is that they need to put a small fridge in the rooms, apart from that, love the place!!!!”
