Shore Road consists of an open-plan living space with kitchen equipped with electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, a breakfast bar with seating for five guests and a sitting area with Smart TV and a first-floor, mezzanine-style snug with Smart TV and woodburning stove. The bedrooms reside on the group floor and consist of a double and family room with double and a single with TV, serviced by a ground-floor bathroom. Outside there is an enclosed rear decking area with furniture, barbecue and fire pit, as well as off-road parking for two cars. Within 0.3 miles you will find a shop and pub and within 0.7 miles, a beach and please note that one well-behaved pet is welcome but sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Shore Road is a wonderful escape for your next Irish adventure. Note: The stairs are open-tread, please take care. Town: The village of Abbey is situated 7 miles west of Portumna and 11 miles from Loughrea, south east of Galway city on the northern shore of Lough Rea. County Galway’s winner, for three years running, of Ireland’s Tidy Towns competition, the village of Abbey offers two pubs and a supermarket, and a monastery dating back to the 11th Century, from which the village takes its name. Portumna is nearby, offering good fishing and watersports, while the medieval town of Loughrea is host to several shops and pubs, two 4 star hotels, an 18 hole golf course and a lake, renowned for its fishing. Gort, is a medium sized market town on the Galway-to-Ennis Road, situated in a gap between the Slieve Aughty Mountains and the Burren to the south. There is a strong tradition of Irish music in the locality and many pubs stage sessions at night.
