Swordale Stays. Self Catering Holiday Cottage in the Highlands of Scotland

The cottage is in a small, quiet hamlet two miles up the hill from Evanton village. It is actually part of a converted farm steading consisting of ten cottages, all made of natural stone. Ours is the only one fortunate enough to have a vaulted ceiling and Juliet balcony on the first floor, where the lounge is situated. Bespoke wooden beds and shelves for bathroom basins. Fantastic kitchen with breakfast bar and en-suites with walk-in showers, and one with a slipper bath. A cosy courtyard with heating and lighting and a covered pergola. This is a great place to stay and use as a base to explore, or stop off for a few days while driving the NC500. Whilst our cottage sleeps 4 - one king-size room and one double room - we do have a single fold-up bed (which can be put up in the living room) and a travel cot - both are available upon request when booking. https://swordalestays.com

Dingwall Stay

Great property had everything we needed for a week stay. Enjoyed the outdoor patio and the coffee machine was awesome, a really nice touch for those of us who enjoy a good cup or two in the morning. Location was great for seeing all the Highlands had to offer.

Fabulous property even better than the photos show. Luxurious kitchen and bathrooms, what a treat. Extremely comfortable property and would return in a heartbeat. Outdoor area a bonus too. Loved cooking in the amazing kitchen.

Beautiful cottage with luxurious finishing

The best place to discover the beauty of the Scottish Highlands. The house is up to a exceptional standard and has all you could possibly need, from UFH to high end bathrooms and a magnificent kitchen.

Best coffee ever

Fantastic stay! The house is beautiful and the location affords easy access for what ever direction you choose to travel. Best coffee maker we have ever seen. Maybe better directions to the home would be nice otherwise 10 out of 10! Fresh flowers were a very nice touch! Thank you!

Excellent base for exploration around Inverness

Superb property. Clean and well appointed. Kitchen has all necessary to cook meals and a dishwasher for east cleanup. The built in espresso machine is phenomenal! Showers and baths are clean and very modern. Highly recommend!

Fabulous time

The booking from start to finish with Robert was so easy and we really appreciated our early check in as we weren’t coming far. The house was amazing as was the huge effort put in to all the Christmas decorations. This property was fantastic and had everything (and more) we needed to enjoy our stay. Die Ferienwohnung ist extrem gut und modern ausgestattet — die Bäder sind geschmackvoll und großzügig hergerichtet und auch in der Küche und im Wohnzimmer ist alles zu finden. Wunderschönes Haus in idyllischer Umgebung

Das Haus hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Sehr geschmackvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet und technisch top ausgestattet. Bei Ankunft standen Blumen in den Zimmern und es zur Begrüßung Wein und Süßigkeiten. Alles was man bräuchte, war vor Ort. Der Gastgeber war immer erreichbar und sehr freundlich. Wir haben auch Tipps für Ausflüge und Wanderungen bekommen. Also sehr zu empfehlen .
