"Prior to leaving the States, I contacted the owner about check in process. I was told to give my flight information and he would coordinate taxi pickup and have the check in information. Upon arrival in Barbados, there was not a taxi waiting for us, but we had the address and proceeded to take a taxi to the BNB. "We had a wonderful stay at Blue Haven. We were greeted by lovely staff, who were very helpful throughout our stay. The room was perfect - very clean, comfy bed, very well-equipped kitchenette, and a balcony over the garden area (especially lovely in the evening). The hotel was a 90second walk to the beach and the start of the strip of restaurants, bars and couple of shops. To get the bus into the other towns, it’s an easy 5minute walk to the bus stop on the main road and it’s just 3.50 Barbados Dollar per person. We decided to hire a car for a couple of days and made use of the car park on site which we had no problem finding a space in. Overall very happy with the accommodation, staff & location and found this very good value for money. "

"The overall experience was positive, however, housekeeping could be more responsive! The one think that irked me was that the building has no elevators. You have to walk 2 flights of steps to get to your room if you are located on the 2nd floor. The beach access is within 2 minutes. The landscaping is nice and staff are friendly! "

"We had a great one bedroom with functional kitchen, and great balcony with ocean view. Staff is friendly and helpful, and the facilities are well kept and convenient. Beach and beach access is top notch, and the immediate area is walkable and has everything from local fare and friendly bars to high energy nightlife. Only recommendations for Southern Palms would be improve the gym facility, and have a more reasonable price for the breakfast buffet. "
