We had stayed here years ago because of the location right across from the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, and it turned out to be exactly the right spot for everything we wanted to do on the Cape. We were here this time in the off-season, so considerable renovation was in progress on the other half of the hotel, but where we were was quiet, clean, and very pleasant. The room was large enough, comfortable, and everything in it worked.

The hotel is in a great location in the middle of Cape Cod. The room was nice and met our expectations and was a place to stay for our nights. The front desk recommended a whale watching company and we had the best day on the water.

Our room was exactly as described. Two full-size beds with bathroom. The room has been remodeled nicely and the beds were very comfortable. The shower pressure was good. We also liked the small patio that we were able to access from our room. The landscaping was very well maintained and soothing. An added bonus was we were able to go to breakfast right next-door, which was excellent – highly recommend! We will return again in the future.

Excellent pleasant staff ✅ B’fast next door at Laura + Tony’s is fantastic - Best on the Cape ! ***** The room lighting at the Blue Dolphin needs help - LED’s so bright it’s like living in a refrigerator - too bright - harsh - I would stay there again - however, I would have to Bring 2 of my own lamps with me - ⚠️✖️⚠️

I travel for work, so I’m used to every type of hotel/motel situation, but for my vacation I like to go somewhere I know won’t be problematic. The Blue Dolphin has always been a solid spot in Wellfleet, and my experience this time backed that sentiment up. Room was clean, property was nice. Only thing that could have been improved was if my AC had been on when I arrived, but I understand not wanting to waste electricity, and it took about 5-10 minutes for my room to cool down. No biggie.
