“The room was clean and comfortable. The price was right. Staff was friendly and helpful. We didn't use the Air. Parking was limited couldn't park in front of the room. The is an older motel that has been updated. The walls are thin (older building) I could hear neighbors conversation. When someone left early the woke me up. I would stay again”

“Birch Run Lodge is like stepping back in time. It’s a quintessential Michigan lake experience. The main inn building, circa 1912, is beautiful. Its long porch faces Trout Lake with plenty of rocking chairs to sit and enjoy the view. The Inn’s interior features a beautiful bar, dining room, lots of vintage furnishings and an air of comfort. The Inn’s owner/proprietors are welcoming and present. We stayed in the motel portion of the Lodge, which is classic mid-century and decorated in that era.……

“Front desk employees were very friendly and helpful! Free hot breakfast had many choices. Property grounds were accommodating for relaxing outside by the lake front although we visited during the “midge fly season” and there was no way to avoid them but to stay inside.”

“The hotel itself was adequate enough. The staff could have been friendlier - most of the employees we came into contact with acted like they had better things to do and just weren't very personable! I won't be back, there are better options out there.”

“The bathroom shower. Shower took forever to warm up and then never got hot shower level. The rest of the room is nice. If they could fix the shower we'd stay again.”
