Trip to Florence

The door broke our first night and we were unable to get back in and had none of our belongings. Management was unhelpful and had us call the fire department. Eventually they found an accommodation but we were left in the dark and were expected to get help on our own.

Would Reccomend!

Stay was great. Would recommend for anyone looking to stay in Florence at a reasonable price. The restaurant right next to the apartment (Aqua al 2) is a must!

Trip of a lifetime

We spent several days at this property. Layout was more odd than the photos show. Bed was very saggy and uncomfortable for two people to sleep in. We made the best of it and still enjoyed our stay. The people were nice enough to work with.

Safe and Prime Location

The apartment is spacious and pretty. It is also in a prime location for walking the city or catching taxis to the airport. We had a great time exploring Florence and beyond from this home. We would highly recommend this apartment.

Great location, very odd layout

Unbeatable location, clean, spacious. Perhaps the strangest layout of an apartment I’ve ever seen, including a shower in a closet, but technically all as described. I wish I had known there was no coffee for the machine to at least get us started before being able to get to the store for the correct pods. But overall a fine apartment and central to everything.

San Firenze House

This place is in the most perfect location possible! You can walk to all the attractions in Florence. I highly recommend this property. The restaurant on the corner is fantastic (make a reservation). The upstairs neighbors pounded on the floors one night to let us know we were too loud and yelled at us down the hallway the next morning, but other than that there were no issues.

Great location - but very noisy at night

The location was great - the facilities were good for 4 travelers together. However- it was very noisy at night. You have to wear earplugs for sure. On the last day/ night for some reason the gas was turned off and we did not have hot water for the last day. There was no solution by the host.

Awesome place

We loved San Firenze house. A little skeptical when walking down the street with our luggage, but you will be very pleasantly surprised when you get inside. The space is amazing. Very spacious and full of character. The check in process was very easy and owner very responsive. We had no issues or needs during our stay so we didn’t have to reach out during our 3 night visit. The home is very clean and has everything you could possibly need. Museums, nightlife, restaurants etc. all just a few minutes walk away. No issues with noise for us as others previously mentioned. We would definitely come back and highly recommend!!

Great location tired furniture

This was a great location. The furniture is in very poor shape. One of the chairs webbing is gone so they set a piece of plywood, not secured, in the seat and a loose cushion on top. The sofa nearly touched the floor when you sit and when you get in the master bed you roll to the middle. Overall nice place. Enjoyed the stay. Making the updates would make it a 5 star.

Great location, funky space

This apartment is in a great location to visit many sights in Florence. There are several great restaurants in the area, a small grocery market a couple blocks away, and just a short walk from the river. If you're traveling with someone with mobility issues, please note there are stairs to get up to the apartment, but they're not too steep or narrow. There is also a loft, which has steep, narrow stairs. There's plenty of space to spread out and feel at home. Plenty of toilets and showers so that there isn't a queue for each. Overall, a surprising find.

Location location location!!!

This place is walking distance to everything! It was so nice having a washer and DRYER! We were able to wash all of our clothes half way through our trip. Check in was easy. They helped us find the nearest parking garage since we had a rental car. People walking down the alley in the master bedroom were loud so we used ear plugs at night. Highly recommend this place for families or groups of 5. It’s spacious and comfortably fit everyone! Large kitchen table to gather around and kitchen with everything you need if you make meals.

Odd But Charming Stay in Florence

The place was very interesting. You can tell the building has been remodeled from a larger more grand space. The ceilings are vaulted with ornate beams. And the result is a little strange especially the odd places bathroom and shower. But this doesn’t detract from the place. The location is to central many Florence attractions. Just a short walk takes you to Vivoli and Piazza di Santa Croce. And the place suited our needs well. Only one small complaint is there is no working washer/dryer. The machine is broken. But overall it’s a nice place to stay and I’ll look to see if it’s available next time I’m in Florence.

Good for family to spread out- great location

Terrific location. Quick taxi ride from the train station. Check was easy and the host was ok with us arriving a little early. It was very hot in Firenze and so the ACs had trouble keeping up. It’s was warmer than we wanted, but still better than outside! We have 3 kids and so 2 shared the second bedroom- and my youngest loved sleeping in the loft. The shutters were easy to operate and so we could make it dark enough to sleep in. The bathroom layouts are a little strange. There is one bathroom with sink shower and toilet/bidet. Then a bathroom with only sink and toilet/bidet in the hall. Then a sink with shower connected to a bedroom. Lots of hot water that never ran out. Very clean. No bugs. We did not cook, but we did use the refrigerator and laundry machines and they were great. Location is close to many things and walkable to everything in city center including Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Uffitzi, Academia Gallery. We would stay there again. .

Visit to Florence

The apartment was well located and made it easy to get around (pretty much walking as Florence is a walking city). We were close to everything and it was easy to figure out after a few hours. Apartment has a washer AND dryer, which was nice. Struggled a little with converting Italian to English on washer, but managed. We were minutes from Duomo and Santa Croce—spectacular! We learned to take things in stride in Italy—American conveniences are not same here. But the food and wine is great and the history is overwhelming (in positive way!). Get out to country side—take a wine tour—Tuscany is beautiful. Thanks to our hosts—only suggestion is to buy wash cloths and ask for a few more towels than normal—bring body wash and shampoo/conditioner. They can’t provide everything.

Not as described

Our check in process was accommodating. We were met at the apartment and able to get right in and even delivered coffee to use as we requested -although it was the wrong size coffee pods for the machine in the unit -Not a huge deal for us, we just bought the correct size and we’re able to have coffee in the mornings. Upon arrival we did notice that the apartment was not luxury as described. We thought it would be fine as the building was very old and it was part of the experience. We were wrong! First, There were not 2 fulls bathrooms as described. One of the bedrooms had a shower inside a closet and the toilet was outside of the bedroom - so more of a community toilet. The windows along the street did not shut well - normally not a huge deal however the noise from the street at night echoed up the alley, people partying in the streets until 6am made sleeping impossible- even with a noise machine. The beds were terrible at best - one was a box spring and mattress on the floor that caved in the middle and the other was a platform with 2 twin mattress side by side. Each with just 2 pillows and the comforter was old and stained yellow. The night we arrived, we started a load of laundry and left for dinner. When we arrived back that evening we were greeted by an inch of standing water on the living room floor. It was late, but I still immediately called and texted the gentleman who let us into the apartment but didn’t hear back until the next day. We did what we could to soak up some water but with only 1 bath towel each in the apartment and showers needed there wasn’t much we could do. The next day maintenance came, brought just 2 more towels for us to use and determined that the door to the washer was broken but wouldn’t be repaired before we left. Part of the reason we rented the apartment was for the use of the laundry machines - we were traveling Italy for 2 weeks -Laundry was a necessity to us. The rug in the living area soaked up the water resulting in it smelling of musty rotten feet. I asked that the carpet be removed due to the smell but was told that the rug could not be removed because they didn’t know about it even though we did message them about it and maintenance was in the unit. The smell was unbearable to the point that we could not spend any time in the unit and had to keep our bedrooms doors shut to keep our belongings from smelling too bad. Overall, not our best stay.
