"I absolutely loved my stay at Ruby Rustic Retreat. If you’re looking for peace, quiet, and beautiful scenery, this is a wonderful place to unplug and relax. The view was stunning, and the atmosphere was calm and restful the entire time.There is no running water, but I knew that going in and honestly didn’t mind at all. It actually felt like a really nice step up from SUV camping while still giving that rustic outdoor experience. For me, it was the perfect balance of comfort and simplicity.The retreat was clean, cozy, and exactly what I was hoping for. I would definitely stay again."

"Where to begin ?!?! Upon booking the home on line I truly had no idea how wonderful our stay would be. The home was very well appointed and exceeded our needs. The kitchen is well stocked with every cooking item you may need or want …. basic essentials such as spices… storage containers…tin foil, etc are also provided … cookware is all in fabulous condition. Lovely dishes and silverware were ample enough for our family and a few guests. It is obvious the home owner is thoughtful about design and detail. The separate seating areas provided areas for people to rest or talk depending on how they were feeling that day. Two separate laundry rooms are thoughtfully located in the home with top of the line appliances… complete with detergent! The outdoor area complete with a heated pool and hot tub. …. Situated on 5 private acres…. Located down a gravel road … past some cows and horses ….! Very quiet and peaceful while enjoying an early morning coffee on the back deck or beside the pool. Close enough to basic grocery shopping for convenience, but far enough to just hear the sounds of nature. The bedrooms are comfortable with soft sheets and separate thermostats in some rooms. Bath towels galore !!! Pool towels !!! Baby monitors !!! Accessible shower chair … There was not a single need that was not met !!! The only regret was that we didn’t book an extra day or so after celebrating our son’s wedding. "

"I had a few issues with how this property is listed. It’s in fact not the entire house, it’s the lower half of the large house in the picture. It is also listed that there’s 3 bedrooms but the one with the bunk bed has no window "

"Our family enjoyed staying at this house! It was fun and had a lot of nice little touches, like shampoo and makeup remover, etc. The property owners are very nice and responsive, too! There are just a few things that were not terrible, but bothersome, which prompted me to give the house only 4 stars. 1) The yard is a little wild, which you can see in the photos, but the weeds in the back should be cut back with a weed eater more often as we had to "wade" through them to go to the water down the path. 2) We used the grill, but it was not easy. There was no igniter on the grill, nor proper grill utensils, and only a small lighter provided. We ended up getting our fingers greasy lifting up the grill plate and lit the grill with the small lighter - a little scary and definitely not ideal. However, the next renters will have it a little easier as the the owner did stop by with a couple long necked lighters after I sent a message, which was super nice! 3) The house is hard to find. Once you know the location trick, then it's perfectly okay, but everyone who came by got lost down the nearby road or passed the driveway altogether. "
