The cottage is located in the heart of the pretty village of Woodgreen in Hampshire. The Horse and Groom public house is located a few minutes walk away. A well-stocked village store is also within a 10/15 minute walk offering a full range of locally sourced products. Beck Cottage is a short walk away from the village green and cricket wicket. The New Forest National Park is yours to explore. This picture perfect New Forest holiday home comprises a lounge with large wood burner and beamed ceiling, 50" flat screen TV with Freeview. Separate dining room with a large table and seating for up to 14\. Large kitchen & breakfast room with all the usual appliances to make this a complete home from home experience. Doors lead off to the newly built wooden conservatory. Ground floor double bedroom with adjacent wet room. On the first floor there is a master bedroom with a king size bed and en-suite shower room, one twin bedroom with basin and one double bedroom, a family bathroom and separate toilet. On the second floor, there is a further double bedroom and another twin bedroom with a secret staircase! There is a Shepherds hut in the garden that can sleep 2 with Garden Shower room. Beck cottage can therefore comfortably accommodate up to 14 adults with additional fold out beds available for a small fee. In addition there is a games room above the garage with football table and a table tennis table and with a trampoline in the garden. Facilities and Services: Oil fired central heating and electricity included. Travel cot, 2 high chairs and stairgates available on request (but please bring own cot bedding), dogs welcome, fully enclosed mature and charming garden (not secure for small dogs) with patio and barbeque area with garden seating for 14, summer house, children's climbing frame, private parking for up to 6 cars. Dogs are welcome to stay here max 3 at £40 per dog fee There is a 4-6 seat hot tub available from £325 for short breaks and £400 for 7 nights EV Charging now available please ask for details. Bike hire available in Fordingbridge Stay criteria is based on 7-night stays, long weekends Fri-Mon (3 nights minimum stay) or mid-week breaks Mon-Fri (4 nights minimum stay). First basket of logs free then £7.50 a bag thereafter. Pets - allowed By car. From Salisbury: take the A338 south to Fordingbridge and Ringwood. At Breamore take the road signposted to Woodgreen. From Ringwood: take the A338 north to Fordingbridge and Salisbury. Take the exit signposted to Woodgreen at Breamore By Train Nearest train station is Salisbury 10 miles 20 min drive By Bus Bus Route is X3 from Ringwood or from Salisbury with stop at Braemore then 15 min walk to Woodgreen on narrow raods. Everything was perfect for a long weekend from the welcome hamper to beautiful gardens. The Horse and Groom is literally a stone’s throw away with excellent pub fare. Highly recommend for a family or group of friends. The garden is stunning and full of character. The games room is great and set away from the property so you can have music on and play games whilst others relax in the main house. The house itself is full of charm and there is plenty of room. The conservatory and dining room in particular are very nice additions. The surrounding area is nice with a pub a minutes walk a way and has the added nicety of waking up with horses and cows in the field next to the property. There was plenty of room for eleven of us and it was extremely comfortable. We all felt relaxed as soon as we walked in the front door. The cottage is in a great location on the edge of the New Forest, which offers a range of activities and attractions. Members of our group visited Beaulieu, Lyndhurst, Lymington, Exbury Gardens, and the nearby Braemore House, and we did geocaching around the local village all of which we enjoyed. We found the cottage to be be well maintained, equipped and nicely decorated, with plenty of space to accommodate our group. The cottage also has a nice large garden, good for when there is nice weather, and a games room for the not so nice days, although we used both during our stay. Perfect location for exploring and 10 minute drive from the Aqua Park which was great fun. The cottage has everything you need, perfectly clean and plenty of space for everyone. No issues with hot water despite 9 girls showering! Towels provided along with a welcome hamper. A throughly enjoyable weekend in the most beautiful setting. Thank you! We were 8 adults 3 children and 2 babies. The cottage is perfect for a family get away, with comfortable bedrooms, and facilities, spacious downstairs living rooms and kitchen, and a lovely big garden with a separate games room. It is well situated for walks in the New Forest, and has a pleasant pub with a garden close by. Overall, a lovely cottage. My wife and I had a superb “Golden Wedding” weekend at Beck Cottage with our family - three daughters, their partners, four grandkids - making twelve in all. Beck Cottage was wonderful for such a three-generational gathering - immaculate, spacious facilities, a brilliant New Forest location, great games room - and an ideal garden for several competitive hide-and-seek escapades for four lively children! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to any family - whether celebrating a significant event like we were or seeking a break from life’s pressures. Our party comprised 10 adults, 2 children and one infant. The cottage was perfect for our needs and is beautifully presented, with tasteful decor and excellent equipment. The garden is beautiful with lots of nooks and crannies for the children to hide in! Our two dogs were easily accommodated. The conservatory was a great boon for dogs and humans alike. We did a fair amount of cooking ourselves and the kitchen was easy to work in. We also had a takeaway from an Indian restaurant in Fordingbridge and Sunday lunch at The Horse and Groom next door. We walked dogs in the forest and went on long cycle rides. Spacious rooms, comfy furniture and beds and a lovely fitted kitchen. With atrocious weather over Easter the games room with table tennis and table football proved to be a great hit.
