"Villa Maude is an exquisite jewel nestled in Virginia's "horse country" with a panoramic view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. I stayed in the Van Gogh room, and it was most comfortable. The host, Maude, was very accommodating. Darla, the dog, after a couple of obligatory barks (dutifully protecting the manse) was a real sweetheart. "The hotel was conveniently located near the interstate. There was a shopping center within steps of the hotel. The breakfast was pretty good and a bit of an upgrade from the standard continental breakfast. The fitness room was clean and had updated equipment. We had one bedroom with a sofa bed, which gave us privacy. This is important when you have a teenage child. The hotel is nestled in a neighborhood, and we enjoyed taking a morning walk there. "
