"A very quiet and relaxing stay. Loved going for walks with my dog and not seeing another person or car around. Could use a new shower curtain as it had mildew on the bottom which was gross. "If you have kids you'd like to unplug and let bike, fish, or feed farm animals, this is the place! The staff are so kind and friendly. They delivered us fresh eggs our first day! The ponds are stocked so bring rods. Our 9-year-old caught his first largemouth bass all on his own. Also, George Washington stayed in a stone cottage out back. "This is a nice house just north of Linden, VA. The host was responsive to my emails. We had no problems with getting in or with the house in general. The house is heated and cooled with mini-splits. There were auxiliary space heaters in each of the room except the bathrooms. There was plenty of fire wood. The kitchen appliances were quite new and worked well. The fireplace was a bit smoky at times. We enjoyed our Christmas week at this house."
