“This property is a refurbished boat house. I realize that all of the pictures are accurate but the place is WAY BETTER than I expected. First of all, the space is HUGE, at more than 800 sq ft. It has a king size bed, a futon, a couch, a dining room table, a huge desk, a bar, a full kitchen with breakfast bar, a washer/dryer, and a bathroom with tub. The dock is right off the back of the property. And because it's a boat house, you're surrounded by water on three sides, which was just lovely. We……

“My boyfriend and I booked this trip and he actually proposed during our trip! We loved coming back to the cozy studio cottage. The view from bed is beautiful , the stars at night were breath taking! Easy to check in, place was clean the one minor thing was the couch bed is not the best for the back but is cozy and soft. We will be back !”

“Susan Jeff are obviously seasoned and experienced hosts. Their impeccable attention to details is amazing! Susan greeted us Briefly and warmly, and then left us to ourselves. The apartment in their home in a newer, upscale development was very clean and spacious. They had left us little gifts each day and a helpful binder with suggestions for local restaurants and things to do. Very quiet neighborhood, but 5-10 minutes away from restaurants and shopping.”

“This in-town apartment was perfectly located. It was spacious and all amenities were as described or better. A visitor could not ask for a nicer more comfortable place to stay or a more caring host.”

“My husband and I stayed two nights, arriving late in the afternoon. We had no difficulty finding or getting into the property. The place was clean and the bed was comfortable. We were out doing things in the area most of the time, but did enjoy a slow, quiet morning and loved being able to walk to the nearby park and enjoy the view. We were also in the apartment early one evening because of light rain, just reading and checking emails, etc., and missed the basics for preparing our own food.……

“First time in Maine and the cabin at its location made the stay even so much nicer. Watching the sunrise at 5am , relaxing nights on the deck. The cabin was rustic but functional, spacious enough but still gave that cozy felling. We will be back. Thank you for your hospitality.”

“Anchor Loft was meticulously maintained, extremely comfortable and provided great views of Casco Bay. Great location: walkable to Little John Preserve, easy bike ride to the Ferry / Chebeague Island, and quick drive into Portland or Freeport. Paul was helpful and very responsive in supporting our use of the bikes and kayaks provided with the unit. Very enjoyable and relaxing stay on Little John Island!!”

“The view was amazing! Clean and nicely decorated. In saying that, There were no pots and pans, knife to food prep with and no can opener in the kitchen. I purchased a set of pots and pans and a can opener. All of my food in the fridge spoiled. I had to throw it all away the fridge was not cold enough and needed to be repaired. They need to update there mattress it sunk in the middle and was very uncomfortable.”

“Great views. House pretty clean & supplies were fine except only 3 coffee cups for 6 adults. VACasa said they would get more cups. They failed, never received. Some lights didn't work & lots of dead bugs in light fixtures.”
