We had a lovely one night stay in the quadruple family room as part of my husband’s 50th birthday weekend. The staff were friendly and welcoming, our room was beautifully decorated with everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The breakfast was lovely although the portions were on the small side (that could just be me being greedy though) 😂 We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We stayed 3 nights at the Ethorpe. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to catch local buses to locations we wished to visit and also using the local buses to travel to Heathrow via routes 106 and 102 for 10 UK pounds! A & J, Canada.

Bed comfortable but the hot spell made it unbearable to stay in the upper floor, thanks to the manager who arranged for us to move to a lower floor room. Everything else was enjoyable.

Lovely hotel, restaurant and bar

Friendly staff and immaculate family room. Bathroom was very clean with seperate shower and rolltop bath. Really convient for our trip to Wembley, would definitely stay here again.

Travelling from Australia to visit son living in Gerrards Cross. Stayed at the Ethorpe 7 nights. Quality of room was excellent and staff took care to ensure our stay was comfortable. Stayed on business, I was fortunate to be upgraded to a superior room. It was lovely and spacious. Large bathroom with adequate amenities. Hairdryer, iron, kettle. The staff were friendly both in the hotel and the bar. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but went to Maliks (Indian) a 5 minute walk away.

Great room, super comfy bed, lots of space and delicious food. However, the room was totally overheated and the windows only opened 20cm. Was a very sweaty night. and the bathroom had a bit an uncomfortable smell from (windows don’t open properly either). Last years room was absolutely fine though

Few nights away for the family

All the staff were friendly, remembering things about us to help us feel even more comfortable. Offered help with ease, knowledge and a smile. Less than 5 minutes walk to the cinema and railway station. Great base to get into London, Harry Potter Studios or Wembley. Family room was lovely and pleasantly surprised that the two single beds were through a door off the main bedroom, rather than a sofa bed or similar.

Lovely place would recommend

Nice hotel recommended as we were visiting friends close by and we understood it had been recently renovated. Nice decor, comfy bed and lovely breakfast. The only slight comment I would have is the pub area was so hot, all the radiators were on full blast even though the weather was still mild in September. Also it seemed strange as a pub hotel it didnt have a residents license so had to stop serving by 11. Perhaps thats just a local quirk and certainly wasnt a big issue was just a bit strange arriving back from cinema at 1050pm to be told the bar was closed. All in all though a lovely stay and would stay there again.
