“The chateau is beatiful and the dinner was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at dinner. The food was sooo good and the staff made the night so fun. I misunderstood what our room name was and didn't realize it meant we were in an annex building and not the chateau itself. So that was a let down. But……

“We arrived at 8pm, having called in advance to advise of our arrival time. We had booked a table in the restaurant at 8.30pm (the final sitting according to the website). We were disappointed to hear the restaurant was shut when we arrived. We were offered no refreshments (our booking stated a welcome drink)- the village was very quiet with only a burger place open so we had very little choice to get something to eat. The owner, Tina, was very attentive, friendly and helpful - from local sightseeing recommendations to a lovely breakfast with locally sourced items. “Booked into this hotel at the last moment because of a last minute change of plans. Only stayed one night, just wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel is in a lovely, peaceful setting just a few minutes walk from Jumierges Abbey (go early before the day visitors arrive!). The staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent.
